How do I get started for booking an event with Behind the Lyrics for our association or club member event?
We are so excited to work with you on your next event. To get started with the booking process, please fill out our Contact Us form found on our Book Now page, and someone will be in touch with you within 1-2 business days.
We will do our best to honor your preferred list of songwriters from our roster for your event, but this is of course subject to availability. Once we have your date and event details, we will send you a contract for signing. Your contract must be signed within 30 days of receipt or secured artists could be released to other organizations. A 50% deposit is due upon the signing of the contract.
I’m not sure if I am ready to book, but can I place a hold for particular dates?
You can certainly place holds for particular dates, but any organization with a signed contract will have first priority for our roster of artists.
You can provide your preferred date along with two secondary options, Behind the Lyrics can tell you which artists could be available within 15 days of your request. No artists are guaranteed until after a contract is signed.
What are the sound and stage set-up needs?
The stage and sound needs are minimal and include:
- Small stage set with three stools and 3-5 mics
- Sound system
- Three DIs and cables
- Screen (optional if you to project QR codes to the songwriters social media accounts, any information about the songwriters)
How is artist travel handled?
Behind the Lyrics will handle the airfare and hotel of the performing artists. Meal requests and a small rider for items such as water and snacks will be provided to the hosting organization for the artists during the event.
How do I find out what songwriters are available for my event?
Songwriter availability varies from month to month and even day-to-day as some of our artists do tour and perform with recording artists occasionally. You can review our roster of songwriters here. We will do our best to secure your preferred songwriters for your contracted event.
Can artists record a video promo for our event?
Yes, at least one artist will provide a message for your guests to help you promote your upcoming event. Depending on the timing of your invitations and other event promotions, Behind the Lyrics will work with the sponsoring organization to find an ideal deadline to provide the video message. We ask that you provide a basic script or framework for what you would like them to say.
